It’s hard to believe, but on May 27th the House of Representatives voted for the biggest cuts to Medicaid in U.S. history, devastating healthcare for millions of people. Why?

To offset huge tax giveaways to billionaires and big corporations. 

Congressmen Dan Newhouse (Yakima) and Michael Baumgartner (Spokane) were the only Congressmembers in Washington to vote FOR cutting Medicaid and Apple Health and FOR tax breaks for billionaires. Can we count on you to act now to push back against their votes and tell your lawmakers to protect healthcare?

Here are the stakes if we don’t stop Medicaid cuts:

• More than 100,000 Washingtonians will lose life saving medication, medical procedures and care.
• We could see an increase in our state taxes by shifting billions in Apple Health and Medicaid costs to Washington’s low and middle income families.
• We will experience another $127.9 million loss in state and local tax revenue, putting additional pressure on taxpayers.
