Hi friend,

By a nearly 2-to-1 margin, Washington voters rejected Initiative 2109 which would have cut taxes for mega-millionaires and billionaires. That’s a LANDSLIDE win for the working class!

In just a few days our lawmakers will be meeting in Olympia to discuss how to handle a $10 billion budget shortfall that threatens our state’s education, housing, health care and more. The truth is, we face massive funding gaps because our state budget is still overwhelmingly balanced on the backs of working families.

That’s why we’re counting on you to send an email to your lawmakers in Olympia asking them to reject cuts to crucial programs, and instead make the super-rich pay what they owe in taxes.

Send your email now!

We pride ourselves on being a great place to live, yet Washington is the second WORST in the nation when it comes to tax fairness. The richest Washingtonians pay the smallest share for public education, housing, and health care, while those with the least pay the most.

Defeating I-2109 and preventing further tax cuts for the wealthy was a start, but we’ve got a long way to go until CEOs pay the same share as janitors. By taking action now you’ll be telling your elected officials to say NO to massive cuts to education, housing, and health care and YES to ensuring the richest Washingtonians pay what they owe.

Send your email now to make your voice heard to your legislators in Olympia.

    In solidarity,

    Treasure Mackley
